Just a reminder: Friday I will feature an interview with writer/novelist Mike Duran, creator of the blog “Decompose” and contributor to the blog “Novel Journey”. Stop by and meet Mike.
It’s a drag not being tech-savvy. Some of you are familiar with “Shelfari”. I rather enjoy it. Gives me a feeling of accomplishment as I add books to my “I’ve read this” virtual bookshelf. Since I had those couple days of computer trauma, out of all the sites I visit, I cannot sign on to my Shelfari account. Following all their instructions hasn’t worked either. Frustration continues.
You may or may not know most of the state of Washington is facing serious flooding. All of the east-west mountain passes separating the two sides of our state are closed because of avalanche control mixed with serious mudslides. Because of heavy snows in the mountains and unseasonably heavy snows on the western side of Washington, warming temperatures with sudden heavy winds and rains are causing every river on the western side to rise to and above flood stages—and we have multiple rivers. People are being evacuated from areas where this has never happened. Interstate 5 has closed near the southwestern portion of the state and there are innumerable State Routes all up and down and east and west of the I-5 corridor which have closed due to mudslides and flooding and water over roadways. If the Lord brings our area to your mind, please pray for the multiple families whose homes and businesses are taking in water or are being crushed by mudslides. I suspect the entire state will be declared “A state of emergency” before long. The rain has been coming down hard for over 24 hours with some places acquiring over 8 inches in just a few hours. It’s still raining hard right now.
God, you are merciful. Please, we need your relief. In the Name of Jesus, Amen.
